Day 1: Depart UK Close

Fly from UK to Colombo.

Day 2: Arrive Colombo in the morning. Drive to Sigiriya Close

Arrive Colombo in the morning. Meeting and assistance on arrival by our representative and drive to Sigiriya. Stay at at Water Garden Resort for 3 nights.

Day 3: Morning Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Afternoon Minneriya National Park Close

Early start to visit the stunning Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climb to the top of the awe-inspiring Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. Built by King Kasyapa, who imprisoned and subsequently murdered his father! View the elegant frescoes of the Heavenly Maidens and wander the ruins on the summit. Afternoon jeep safari in Minneriya National Park.  Vast herds of elephants often silently appear from the surrounding jungle, to drink from the man made Minneriya Tank. The wetlands support a range of bird species including storks and kingfishers.

Day 4: Morning visit Polonnaruwa Close

Visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, once a busy centre of commerce and a leading spiritual centre. Explore the Quadrangle,  admire the stunning 12th C. sculptures at the Gal Vihara and the amazing frescoes in the Tivanka Image House. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 5: Drive to Kandy, en-route visit Dambulla Cave Temple Close

Towering over the surrounding plains, the Cave Temples of Dambulla are the largest and best-preserved cave temples in the country, and are bejewelled with astounding  frescoes and 153 stunning statues of the Lord Buddha. Stay at W15 Hanthana Estate for 2 nights.

Day 6: Kandy Sightseeing Close

After breakfast sightseeing of Kandy the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and now a World Heritage Site. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre, a gem museum and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Also visit to the iconic Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Day7: Scenic Train Journey to Hatton. Drive to Dickoya, Hatton Close

Morning take a wonderful scenic journey to Hatton. Stay at Camellia Hills for 3 nights.

Day 8: Tea Estate Walking Tour Close

Step into the lush hills of Sri Lanka’s tea country with a guided walking tour from Camellia Hills. Stroll through vibrant tea plantations, learn about the plucking and processing of Ceylon tea, and enjoy panoramic views of rolling hills and misty valleys. A perfect blend of relaxation, learning, and nature’s beauty.

Day 9: Dickoya, Hatton Close

Morning drive to Balapitiya & check-in at Kumu Beach for 5 nights.

Day 11: Visit Galle Close

Drive to Galle & explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where colonial charm meets vibrant local life. Wander cobblestone streets, visit quaint shops and explore fascinating museums. Relax in a delightful café and don’t miss the panoramic views of the Indian Ocean from the Fort walls.
