Day 1: Depart UK Close

Fly from UK to Colombo.

Day 2: Arrive Colombo Close

Arrive Colombo in the morning. Met by Novaturient representative and transferred to lovely Zylan Luxury Villa for 2 nights. Day at leisure to recover from the flight.

Day 3: Forgotten Colombo by Landy Close

Morning at leisure. Afternoon discover the forgotten Colombo tour in Land Rover (Landy) open top vehicle with an expert guide. Learn about the history within the walls of some of the oldest structures in the country. In this 3-hour tour you will be drive past the picturesque Galle Face Green, The Old Parliament, Colombo Lighthouse, Dutch Hospital, Cargills building and the Grand Oriental Hotel. Also stop at an underground bar and enjoy street food in Aluth Kade.

Day 4: Drive to Nuwara Eliya, En-route visit Kandy Close

After breakfast drive to Kandy. Visit the famous Dalada Maligawa- Kandy’s revered Temple of the Tooth Relic & witness Monks conducting their daily ritual worship in the inner chamber of the Temple. Explore the colorful marketplace, a Gem Museum and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Continue driving to Nuwara Eliya. Stay at The Floating Mountain Villa for 1 night.

Day 5: Morning visit Hanuman Kovil & Ramboda Waterfall. Afternoon visit Little England & Gregory's Lake. Drive to Idalgassinna Close

Morning visit Hanuman Temple also known as Ramboda Temple and Ramboda Waterfall. Afternoon drive around the hill capital to see some interesting buildings of mock Tudor and Georgian architecture including the St Andrews hotel, Hill Club and the Racecourse where horse racing continues till day. Drive around the Lake Gregory situated in the heart of the town and constructed during British period. Drive to Idalgassinna and stay at The Idal Villa for 2 nights.

Day 6: Scenic Train Ride. Visit Adisham Monastery & Tea Factory Close

Morning a scenic train journey from Haputale/Ohiya to Idalgassinna and a short hike back to Idal Villa. Afternoon Idalsashinna railway station is a historic railway station on the Sri Lankan railway network, going as far back as 1893, set amidst a picturesque mountain setting. Later visit Adhisham monastery- a beautiful Benedictine monastery once belonged to tea planter Sir Thomas Lester Villiers.

Day 7: Drive to Yala National Park. Afternoon Game Drive Close

Morning drive to Yala National Park. Stay at Kulu Safaris Deluxe Tented Accommodation for 1 night. Afternoon safari drive through the Yala National Park. Yala has the highest leopard density in the world. Various other mammals can be spotted are sloth bears, jungle cats, mongoose, wild boar, sambar deer, spotted deer, buffalo and Asian elephants.

Day 8: Transfer to Wild Culture Resort Close

Late morning transfer to another property- Wild Culture Resort where you will stay for 1 night. Wild Culture Resort is a quaint boutique experience surrounded by paddy fields and a prefect place to enjoy a wild and rural setting. Cuisine here is fabulous. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 9: Drive to Matara Close

After breakfast drive to Matara. Stay at the 3 Sisters Beach House for 1 night. 3 Sisters House in Matara is a wonderful escape on a secluded beach which is great for surfing.

Day 10: Morning visit Galle Fort. Afternoon drive to Horathapola Close

Morning drive to Galle and enjoy a walking tour of Galle Fort. A walk around Galle Fort encompasses architectural structures interlaced with local traditions. The straight and narrow lanes invite you to a delightful walk into the 17th century. The highlights include the Bastions, the Dutch reformed church and Government house, the Maritime Museum, the ‘Meera’ mosque, the All-Saints Church and the old Clock Tower dating back to 1707.
Afternoon drive to Horathapola. Stay at The Horathapola Estate for 2 nights. Horathapola Coconut Estate is an ancestorial home set on a coconut estate near Pannala. The experience allows you to delve into rural and agricultural life.

Day 11: Horathapola Close

Visit the Coconut factory to learn about this most important tree for Sri Lankans. Enjoy a cooking demonstration and you also have the option of going for cycling.

Day 12: Depart Colombo Close

Return to the UK.
