The diversity of Mauritius, part of the Mascarene Islands, is astounding. The island, snuggled in the warm waters of the Indian ocean, not only has fabulous beaches, languid lagoons and beautiful reefs, but a remarkable ecosystem in the mountainous interior. Water sports are naturally featured in the hotel’s ‘menu’ and include water skiing, scuba diving and snorkelling, deep sea fishing, dolphin and whale spotting. For something a little different go on a submarine ‘safari’ or an unusual ‘under the sea walk’.
